Marianas Trench EPK – Photo Section

This project was an EPK design for 604 Records/Universal recording artists Marianas Trench. All of the elements were designed, textured and rendered in 3D to recreate the first aid kit seen on the album cover photo. Each section transition was animated in 3D and rendered out, then edited and optimized. The programming was then done in actionscript. The project took approx. two weeks to complete.

Features:
The EPK featured 3 songs from the band from the album, as well as a biography section, press articles, photos, and links. The EPK also had a “send to friends” function to help promote the release. This was before twitter was widely used, so it was certainly more of an old school approach to promotion!
